Situated in a coastal suburb on Dublin’s Northside, Clontarf Wines is a specialist wine shop who offer an extensive range of wines, often from smaller, family-owned vineyards and wineries.
This allows us to have a more extensive range of wines than would be normally available. It also allows us to give space to our Fine Wine room, a place to browse for that special bottle.

Who We Are
Clontarf Wines is owned and managed by James Tobin, who has spent his entire working life in the drinks business, firstly in the on-trade but for the last 12 years or so, James has been completely focussed on wine.
James holds the WSET (Wine & Spirits Education Trust) Diploma in Wine and Spirits and is a WSET accredited Wine educator who can teach up to WSET Level 3 Awards.
Integral to the team are Helena Caraher (who together with her late husband Ronnie founded the business in 2013) also a WSET Diploma holder, and Rory Doyle, who has been part of the team since day one.
All three are passionate about wine and are deeply committed to providing excellent service to all our customers whether they have limited or extensive wine-knowledge.
